Meet the Team

Godoy Boddy & Thomas Insurance specialize in personal insurance including home, travel, and recreational vehicles. Our brokers have over 100 years combined experience servicing our clients in British Columbia. Our customers have come to rely on us for our responsiveness, superior customer service, and attention to detail. Our knowledgeable team members can offer you an unbiased review of your needs and coverage options, and provide service and advocacy in the event of a claim.

    Originally from Australia, Alex started in the insurance industry in 2009, shortly after arriving in Canada and hasn't looked back. He has always been a broker, acting as the liaison and building relationships with both clients and underwriters.

    Always with his clients' best interests in mind, he goes to bat to ensure they get the coverage they need, and has an amazing ability to explain the intricacies of their policies in a straightforward and approachable way. There's a reason clients come back to him year after year.

    In his spare time he enjoys live music, good wine and travelling. Summer is his favourite season and the Canucks are his favourite team.

    Elias has been in the insurance industry since 2010, following in his father and grandfather’s footsteps. Prior to joining the family business, Elias played professional hockey which took him all across the globe including the US and Europe. Elias enjoys staying active playing various sports, eating great food, and loves travelling with his wife and two young boys. Elias is committed to offering unmatched service while also using his generational expertise to make sure each policy meets the needs to his clients.

    Wendy jumped into insurance on the recommendation of her father-in-law. Originally this was intended to be a temporary move while she completed her accounting studies. However, she soon fell in love with insurance and the daily puzzles it presented: to find the ideal product for each client’s unique needs. It didn’t take long before she realised that this was the career for her.

    On the personal side, Wendy is a very busy momma of two boys and can usually be found at an arena or soccer pitch, anywhere from Squamish to Kelowna, on any given day of the week. Lover of good food, great wine, travelling and exploring with family and friends.
